1: At the very top of today or rather tonight’s nightlife scene I highly recommend Sky Bar in Beirut, just as I recommend the city in general. The decadent and bohemian atmosphere of the 60s and 70s has returned with a vengeance after so many years of civil war and Syrian occupation.
At the top of a five star hotel we find this wonderful venue awarded the worlds best nightclub by an almost mutual press last year.
2: In second place old loyalty and nostalgia compels me to suggest good old Cave de Rois in Saint Tropez. Even though the city has lowered its standards within the last decade, the Cave de Rois at the Byblos estate remains one of the world’s most mythical nightclubs.
I was once there with David Bowie I think.
3. Peppermint in Dubai, Moct in Moscow, Annabel’s in London and a couple of other nightclubs came to mind when deciding witch club to award the bronze.
However I chose to recommend a rather unconventional club for this place and hold my hometown of Copenhagen’s most prestigious spot to be third. I therefore feel to have no other choice than to suggest Andy’s Bar in Gothersgade Copenhagen. The infamous Bar now going on its 6. decade.

“Acclaimed author”? Mads Holgers book got the most negative reviews I’ve ever read in the danish newspapers. And with good reason, it’s by far the worst book I’ve ever read! Maybe the journalist behind the article should do a little research instead of simply asking the author himself?
