Hi there, I’m Louie McPherson! Graphic design student and music enthusiast! After another tough, drunk and busy weekend, I always like to cure the hangover with a bed, a cup of strong coffee and some music! So here’s my favorite music for the occasion! Only melancholic tunes are allowed, it eases my mind! Nothing fancy, nothing to show off, just great downtempo and melancholic songs!

Bon Iver – The Wolves (Act I & II)
Probably one of my all-time favorite tracks! Bon Iver manages to give me goosebumps every time i listen to him/them, even though I’ve heard the album over 250 times!

Nicolas Jaar – Angles
Perhaps not the most melancholic track, and not an obvious choice, but I the beat sounds so sad and cool at the same time!

Ekko – Reharsal
No vocals, but instead a beautiful, prominent melody played on the piano!

Choir of Young Believers – Wintertime Love
It took a lot of time for me to discover this band! I always thought they were a younger version of The Three Tenors, due to their name, so I never really gave them any notice, until i Heard Chimes & Bells, and read that the lead singer also played in COYB! Kind of stupid actually, but none the less – this track is so beautiful, especially now that winter is approaching!

Chimes & Bells – You Shall Not Pass
Very subtle and melodious! I love her voice!

Memoryhouse – Bonfire
Very downtempo track! Somehow reminds me of sitting alone in the dark, staring out at the street. Not that I do that a lot, but this song makes me wanna do it!

Peter Sommer – De Gamle Stoffer
Great lyrics and beautiful melody!

Vi Sidder Bare Her – Så Let At Skubbe Til
Jørgen Leth’s voice, is probably one of the most calming voices in the world. Accompanied by Ekko and Mikael Simpson.

Mikael Simpson – Kæmpe Kæreste Sorger
I’ve fallen asleep to this track a million times. A simple, subtle number!
