Friday Guest Bangers (week 51)

Hey guys!

We are Frederick and Kasper – members of Lehmann & Schyberg. We have been playing music for a couple of years now at all sorts of events in the Copenhagen underground environment. At the moment we’re co-hosting events at Culture Box and we’ve started to produce our own music.

Christmas is comin’ up and the year is almost over. Therefore we bring to you a selection of classic tracks as well as brand new tunes! Merry Christmas and happy NYE!

Jean Caffeine – Jean’s Afterthought (Classic Recordings):
This track has been one of our favorites this year, despite it was released in 1998. During a fantastic set by Ricardo Villalobos and the Arpiar-boys at DC10, Rhadoo dropped this bomb. Warm atmosphere and oldschool vibe are keywords in this release, truly a classic record from “Classic Recordings”. Certainly worth a listen!

NDF – Since We Last Met (DFA Records)
The “Since We Last Met” EP was released earlier this year in a two-track EP. First track is a great production with amazing hand claps – and no wonder cause Bruno Pronsato is one of the members in NDF. The hook is very hypnotizing and explains the the feeling after a break up: “One day I’ll see her on the street/ And we’ll greet with casualness/ And discuss the flow beneath the bridges/ Since we last met/ And that’ll be all …”. And guys, rememer to check the second track too: remix by Ricardo Villalobos.

Pi Ensemble – Iatac (Yojik Concon)
“Iatac” is a masterpiece. Simply. Petre Inspirescu is one of the worlds best DJ’s and he has an outstanding track selection when spinning his records. Despite his talents playing music he’s also a talented producer with a unique approached to making music. Simplicity let’s the track breath and the orchestra underneath completes it. Stay tuned on this artist…

Melchior & Prosanto – Puerto Rican Girls (Perlon)
This another one of our favorites songs this year. It was released on the famous Perlon label this year by Thomas Melchior, who has many aliases, but all his productions have edge, simplicity and an intelligent approach to music. This one is no different, the drums, the haunting stabs and the rusty voice, It’s all there…

Oskar Offermann – The Fog Burns Off (WHITE MUSIC)
The titled says it all in this terrific song. You can just feel how it all gets clear, when the song progress. Oskar Offermann is a man to keep an eye on. The WHITE MUSIC label has released some wicked tunes this year, and will keep on doing that with their quality artists. Remember to go check the rest of the EP “Apple Crumble Beneath My Feet” of Oskar Offermann.

Boo Williams – Eternal Mind (Rush Hour)
This is actually a new release from the classic Rush Hour label, but it sounds like something that was made in the happy 90′s. The beautiful old school strings flutters around the room and gives you a feel good vibe. This will certainly become a classic, it already is in our minds. What is there to be said… we just love that oldschool feeling.
