Return To Love
by Foss

A few days ago a mail dropped into the mailbox. Nothing special about that, it happens about 30 times a day. Random people trying to get their random music on the site. Sometimes I have quite a laugh about it because of the kind of music we get. Some people send us folk and country music, I mean take just a few seconds glance at our site before you send us your music.
Anyway this guy sent us a brief little note with a SoundCloud link and I thought why not? So I opened up a new tab between the endless facebook, beatport and random blog tabs already opened. The guy I’m talking about calls himself Liquid (or Liquido, I’m not sure..).
The first track I checked out was called “Return To Love”. The track has a long and heavy build-up. It also features a somewhat dark dico-ish feel “kinda like Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love’” as Liquid puts it himself.
Next track I’d like to share with you is called “Nattevandring” (Night Hike). It’s a chill-out track with a deep and moody sound.
Both tracks are great for the early evenings getting in the mood. And both tracks a shared in a nice high quality – read: 320 kbps!

This guy is def good! I would describe the tracks as subtle – but more futuristic – versions of the Bodzin/Huntemann-masterpieces around the millenium. The sound of the Rekorder-records and the old stuff from Systematic is greatly missed. This guy could be the one to reconnect us to the era. Recreate that special techno feeling that also Thomas Schumacher had in his pre-millenium beats on the Spiel-Zeug label. I’m a devoted fan. Looking foreward to more posts like this. 1<3
