Weeho, finally it’s Friday! The day of you week where you get off early and there might be a Friday Bar at your workplace/college or whatever.
For me Friday means picking five track that I really dig and presenting them to you, dear reader.
We’ll start off with a lovely soft and nu-disco-ish track remixed by Belgian Aeroplane. They pulled out an old classic from The Human League called “Never Let Me Go”. I looove the sound, so 80′s, so synth!
“Mama Do” is the title of the major hit single by English singer/songwiterPixie Lott. On the remix EP we can find remixes by both Bimbo Jones and Linus Loves. This is the Linus Loves remix.
Pumping up the beat a bit we find the next track by Mike Posner. “Save You Goodbye” is from his 2010 album “31 Minutes to Takeoff”. It’s been remixed by fairly unknown Johnny Lawson.
This next track is a true banger! Brought to us right to the mailbox from Death to the Throne himself. You might know him from remixes such as Fancy Footwork by Chromeo and Knocked Up and Little Bit by Lykke Li. DttT continues his Lykke Li obsession and this time he got his fingers in “Paris Blue”. “Paris Blue” is from the B-side of the EP featuring the new sigle “Get Some”.
Last track is a personal favorite of mine! “Walk & Talk” by US based Benoit & Sergio. It’s from their forthcoming album “Where the freaks have no name” that is to be released feb. 28th. The vocal is absolute fantastic even though the intro is over 2 minutes long.
As a last little Friday present we are proud to present the latest mixtape by Copenhagen based Chris Pete. It is the “best of both sides” so if you are starting out slow play the mix from the beginning and enjoy sweet disco and house. However if the party has already started jump in to about 40 mins in and enjoy the pumping bass line.
