A few months ago Zohdy & Senna released a new years mixtape with all of their best picks of 2012.

It was on SoundCloud for a while, but all of a sudden it was gone.

Now I’ve decided to re-host the mixtape – yeah it’s that good!

If you haven’t had a listen yet it’s about time! It’s two hours of awesomeness and deep disco.

Danish artist Line Hvid is a relatively newcomer on the danish indie-pop scene, but they (Line Hvid + band) have already played a few great gigs around Denmark.

Bak & Lindemann was founded in 2012 by Bastian Bak and Joshua Lindemann and they’ve done a pretty decent remix of a Dusty Springfield song.

A few days ago a friend of mine showed me their remix of Line Hvid’s “Words Unsaid” and I was really thrown back. The track has great depth and has a great moody feel that supports the vocal.

If you haven’t liked Bak & Lindemann on facebook and follow them on soundcloud I urge you to! I think many fine productions will spring from these two gentlemen!

The Human League – Seconds
One of the most exquisite bands of the 80s. In this one use the synthesizer as if it were an orchestra, epic melodies that completed a great album.

Jan Hammer – Crockett’s Theme – (Miami Vice)
Possibly one of the songs that most struck me as a child. Being a fan of the television series Miami Vice I think became a stylistic reference. Jan Hammer made his best work on the soundtrack. I love this man

Do You Wanna Funk – Sylvester 1982
Accompanied by Patrick Cowley created one of the most danceable songs and cool in the history of modern music. The energy of the synthesizer with his shrill voice inivita you to dance. It is a classic in my bag of records. Pure love

Fischerspooner – Emerge
This song is a clear example of well-constructed pop techno .. has many references from the 80s, from New Order, Divine. is pefect, his bass line still startles me.

Depeche Mode – But Not Tonight
One of my favorite songs of this band that has influenced me throughout my teen in the 90s era. I admire his production work in his discography of 80s thanks to Alan Wilder

Tonight one of Miamis big club names will hit Hive and surely blow your minds.

Back in 2011 he had his breakthrough hit “Your Everything” and since then he both produced and remixed a lot of great tracks. He remixed both Madonna, Flight Facilities and Niki & The Dove.

Tonight he will take on Copenhagens biggest club, L/RD/G at Hive and a night of mayhem is what you can expect.

This is just one in a series of great international bookings that has been the trademark of Hive. Both bookings and interior such as advanced 3D light mapping creates an atmosphere and ambience seen nowhere else in Copenhagen, say Denmark!

The party will be co-hosted by danish model agency 1st Option Models, so expect eyecandy!

So put on your house shoes and find your way to Hive tonight!

Tonight Belgium DJ Aeroplane will be performing at KB3!

Aeroplane has been known around the ‘blogsphere’ quite a while for his amazing remixes and most of all for is remix of “Paris” by Friendly Fires featuring Au Revoir Simone. But he has remixes artists like Grace Jones and Robbie Williams!

His remixes are often inspired by french house and carry a bit of the 80′s sound with lots of synth and nu-disco sounds.
Not only is Aeroplane a great remix but he also produces is own tracks. Back in september 2010 he released his debut album and it was quite well received.

Supporting Aeroplane are 3 of Copenhagens best DJs, Waqar, the Borneland brothers and Mathias Mesteño.

Hvor finder i inspiration?
Radioerne er fyldte med sange, som alle hylder de samme polerede temaer: hvorfor forlod du mig, jeg burde havde opført mig bedre, giv mig en chance mere osv. Med vores egne ord så er vi i højere grad inspireret af kærlighedens black box. Vimener at kærlighed nuancerer sig langt bredere end til blot skuffelse og savn, men bevæger sig over en gråtoneskala med plads til både forelskelse og overgivelse, med udmærket plads til koncepter som tvivl, jalouxi, selvdestruktion, indifferens og selvhad. Dette billede er grundstenen på vores EP – at forklare kærlighed, som den universelle både altovervindende og altødelæggende kraft.

Musikalsk kommer alt dette til udtryk i 3 tunge popproduktioner, inspireret af en stil som allerede har vundet stor popularitet i udlandet, men som endnu ikke rigtig har slået igennem herhjemme iblandt danske kunstnere.

Sig det?
Er vores første single, som handler om det magiske øjeblik øjeblik hvor man ved, at man er forelsket. Det perfekte øjeblik hvor selv hendes imperfektioner, utilstrækkeligheder og ’hendes ar’ giver én lyst til at blive ved. Samtidig handler sangen også om, hvordan denne forblændelse også indeholder en manipulerende karakter, som kan forråde selv den viseste konge.

Og hvordan ser fremtiden så ud?
Vi vil med nogle ugers mellemrum udgive de 3 singler, hvor ”Sig det” er den første single. Vi regner med, at sende vores 2. single ud ’Når vi falder frit’ inden for de næste 2 uger.

Danish trio Panamah got remixed by – not only one – but two danish groups – Track Suited and Warmlight.

Warmlight is duo consisting of Dave Mayes and Linda Maria. Their ambition is it create electronic pop with meaning, depth and soul. Their track are a warm mixture of the rich vocal of Linda Maria and the variated beats of Dave Mayes.

Track Suited is a DJ collective from with its base in Copenhagen created by Jonas Friismose and Mikkel Veltz Majholt. Together these boys have a great love for deephouse and disco. They’ve played a great number of places in Copenhagen, but most important was packed the warm-up for international DJ and producer Porter Robinson at Rust.
