The first post in this new decade might be somewhat unorthodox. Friday Bangers on a Tuesday? Is this madness possible?

Yes, I tell you! It’s been a while since our last post so we don’t give a damn!

As assistant booker and promoter-extraordinaire for Rust Sven Houlberg knows what’s going on with the music scene. We asked him to throw a few songs at us that he have been listening to the past couple of weeks, and the reason why he kept listening to these tracks.

“Representing Africa! This is the new sound that I’m diggin’, it’s playful and not that serious and I’m looking forward to much more tracks from Douster.”

Friday again, and this means weekend and Friday Bangers! New music for the masses and you iPod.

Starting of with well-played La Roux, we have YAR (yet another remix) of her mega hit “In For The Kill”. Tek Step did a nice dubstep-ish mix.

Next we have the Brooklyn based electro duo Designer Drugs. They recently released a new single “Riot” and Hejven.se is the one to bring you the shiat. Watch out it’s massive.

Yet again we bring you Deadmau5! This brand new single from the Mause is called “Dr. Funkenstein” and a guy named Danny Jay did a heavy remix!

Moving on to a track with a little lighter beat and more vocal. American Amanda Blank released “Shame On Me” and Jacknife Lee remixed.

This next track is from alway powerful Gossip. “Standing In The Way Of Control” have been remixed by Soulwax.

Soulwax har haft fat i en gammel Bowie-klassiker fra 1974 og peppet den en del op, loopet et fedt guitarrif og smidt lidt mere bas på.

The Twelves ( <3 !!!) har leget med A-Ha's udødelige "Take On Me" og gjort den bare en anelse mindre 80'er-agtig but yet funky. Den har i hvert fald figureret på min playliste i et par dage i træk. Hvad synes i? Der vil i fremtiden forhåbentligvis komme både flere remix og tracks af The Twelves. Så glæd jer!

Deadmau5 er et navn man næppe kan komme udenom hvis man planlægger at smutte forbi Roskilde Festivalen i år. Canadieren med det jødiskklingende navn, Joel Zimmerman, har kørt Calvin Harris’ “I’m Not Alone” gennem house-maskinen og det er særdeles vellydende!
